Thomas Ritchie developed the concept of the automatic waterer valve in 1921 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Local farmers enjoyed the innovation and the first automatic waterers were built. From there, the founder patented the first automatic waterer device and a business was born. Since that time, Ritchie Industries has developed into the leader in watering innovation and now manufactures a complete line of livestock and horse waterers to the highest specifications in the industry. We have taken all of the best features of our classic waterers and designed a premium line of automatic waterers, the EcoFount family. The best of both worlds, OmniFount blends technology from both our traditional stainless steel units and our newest poly units to provide the premier livestock fountain. Omni’s stainless steel trough features heat elements attached to the underside for frost free service even under the most severe winter conditions. All models provide fresh clean water using Ritchie’s time proven valve for rapid refill and easy to clean stainless steel troughs. If you need freeze protection for your water, choose the Stall Fount 125 or the New Stall Fount II 125 for added energy efficient, heated protection.
